My 15 Hour Work Day

I'm wishing that teachers could make overtime pay...especially since yesterday I was gone from home for 15 1/2 hours because of work...but since I'm salaried there will be no such luck. :)
We had open house last night and I didn't get to leave the school until about 9:00. I'm exhausted this morning, but I think the open house went well. We had a great turn out and this is really the first open house where a lot of people who have grown kids, none in school, came to see the rooms. Overall, I think it was a big success.

School

School is in full swing now and I'm trying to keep my head above water. I've been teaching the little kids for all these years and have been able to recycle some things but with third and fourth now with the 1st and 2nd I'm tying to find new resources. I've really been enjoying having students that can do some things for themselves. They don't take as much out of you during the day although the grading is a trade off. I'm been trying to plan some fun activities for them and with the help of Rhett and his photo shop skills, I hope to impress the parents on open house night, Monday, with our team theme....maybe I'll post some pictures later.
