Every year, I take a week to look back at what life is like, in all the details, both large ones and small ones. Here's a look at what Saturday's look like around here.
Saturdays are for going to church. I am loving that Little Mr. is loving being a gentleman and holding the door for us ladies. He is doing this just about every morning, and today when he saw that Bob was not at his usual post, greeting people as they arrived, he was excited to do the honors.
Saturdays are for singing and playing in the praise team. Twice a month our familiy is involved in praise team for both services at church. Today, it was the youth group's turn and Rhett helps out by playing for them. Little Mr. wanted to join in. He was having problems with adjusting his mic to the right height and got frustrated and walked away during the first song, but after that, Daddy helped him get it adjusted and told the audience, I need to help my backup singer. Little Mr. just beamed being up front. Although he did not sing.
Saturdays are for listening to sermons and they are sometimes a bit hard for little guys to sit though. He is drawing some pictures and keeping quiet. He drew a picture of me. And another of our family today.
Saturdays are for activities that we do not normally get to do. Today we stayed to help out with the Sandwich Project that our church is involved with. Baby Girl kept asking when we could help, so today was the day. We put sandwiches and water and cookies into bags that were later taken and given to the homeless.
Saturdays are usually for an afternoon rest since it's usually a later bedtime. This little man wanted me to snuggle with him, but was then upset that he could not sleep in our bed. He asked me to cuddle him for a while, which I was happy to do.
Saturdays are relaxing. This little girl wanted cuddles too. She always wants Daddy's Blanket laid over her pillow, even though it is just about in shreds with big holes in it now.
Saturdays are for resting. I could see Little Mr. peeking at me as I was cuddling Sissy on the other side of the bed. He is snuggled down with his favorite bedtime bear, Brown Bear and his brown blanket.
Saturday's are for resting in my softest bed.It feels so good to relax and yet sometimes I wish I didn't need to rest, I could stay up and do something else, like scrapbook.
Saturday's are for playing. Usually, Bible stories or church, or something like that.
Saturdays are for smiles and family time.
Saturdays are for excitement. Excitement at finally getting to participate in the game because he is FINALLY a school boy.
Saturdays are for time with friends. At trash night, it was the first time that this little girl sat by herself with a friend. Usually she sits with us. I guess we're entering the friend stage of life with her.
Saturdays are for reading. On the way home, late at night, we read several stories. Little Lady is really enjoyng reading the gymnastics stories that I checked out for her.
Saturdays is for changing into relaxing clothes after church. Complete with fun socks.
Saturdays are for kicking back after the babies are in bed. This time, I worked on my teaching blog and watched a new movie called Grace Unplugged.
