Here's a look at what our June has looked like.
It looked like trip to a Children's garden with friends. It was a magical place of little doors. An octopus garden (sand box) complete with dump trucks, shovels and many regular trucks to play with.
Interesting little buildings to play in.
A dress - up room with racks and racks of costumes, hats, scarves, purses, shoes, and gloves.
It looked like a little man grinning at himself dressed up as the notorious pirate, Captain Hook.
And dressing up as a dragon.
It looked like swim lessons at the aquatic center...four days each week. Monday-Thursday. It looked like building confidence. Doing the pancake, Humpty Dumpty, and Ring-a-Round the Rosy. I just love how everything is taught through familiar children's songs and rhymes.
It looked like fabulous teachers guiding, encouraging and high-fiving my babies for a job well done.
It looked like practicing strokes wrapped up in a pool noodle and dunking under water to get the diving rings.
June looked like playing games with the family. And learning a new game that Mrs. Wyatte, Jade's kindergarten teacher, taught them.
It looked like silly guesses and questions and figuring out what card we had.
It looked like smiles and laughter at the ridiculous glasses on our faces.
June looked like reading lots of books. Old favorites, like Good Night Train. And new ones too. It looked like Little Lady reading easy-to-read books. It looked like trips to the library and leaving with our arms full of new reading materials.
It looked like reading time at the bookstore and a trip to the grocery store to pick up some things to make the very hungry caterpillar that we had just heard about during story time.
It looked like trips to the park. Kids running wild, being kids. Laughing and squealing, and just having a fun time with no care in the world. It looked like a blue tornado slide, playing tag with Daddy, and swinging high...but not TOO high.
June looked like the end of another year in Adventurer club for my little girl. And celebrating her accomplishments at the investiture program.
It looked like big smiles as she looked out to see if we were watching. It looked like Daddy nearly missing her moment because Little Mr. decided that it was time to go to the bathroom. It looked like Daddy walking in the back door just in time to see her shine.
It looked like lots of painting. A new color for our bedroom and upstairs bathrooms. It looked like paint cans setting around and lots of trips for more paint. It looked like Little Mr. using the paint cans for drums on a Sabbath morning.
It looked like a little girl who didn't want me to make a bun in her hair, but loved it once it was in there.
It looked like a trip to a new dentist....one with a pirate theme. (How perfect.) It looked like my two littles being excited about going to the dentist.
It looked like a new experience for Little Mr. One he was begging for. And yet when the time came, he went kicking and crying. It looked like him coming out of his shell a little bit at a time until the end of the first class and he was ready to go again tomorrow. It looked like him building confidence and being excited after his second or third class because he learned to do a somersault.
It looked like a little girl getting back into the swing of things at her own gymnastics class. It looked like meeting new people and trying new things. Like the beam, way up high and the bars, vault, and best of all, the pit.
June looked like a trip to the nature park for a picnic and being surprised at all the crabs we discovered. It looked like posing for some pictures and finding an animal skeleton.
It looked like following little trails here and there along the water's edge and enjoying the nature around us.

It looked like this cute little smile.
And this one too.
It looked like a beautiful place to spend a Sabbath afternoon.
It looked like an abrupt end to our park day because of thunder. It looked like two babies panicking because of the loud sounds and thinking they were going to die. It looked like Momma and Daddy reassuring them that we would be O.K. because God was watching over us, as we quickly made our way to the van for shelter.
June looked like playing in the drive way. It looked like bike riding, and Cozy Coupe driving.
It looked like playing hopscotch.
And enjoying our days.
It looked like jump roping.
And sliding.
And swinging.

Sometimes like Superman.
It looked like BEING Superman.
And wearing capes.
And getting upset.
June looked like playing dolls.
It looked like a trip to the aquarium.
It looked like petting starfish and other ocean critters.
And trying on crazy hats. Like the shark one that bites your head.
It looked like getting our characters drawn as super heroes for Daddy to have on Father's Day.
And spraying each other with squirt guns.
It looked like the view was lovely.
It looked like sharing a cool drink on a hot summer day.
And seeing nature up close.
It looked like trying to find a comfortable sea shell to live in.
And playing in the sand.
June looked like Vacation Bible School at our church and learning about weird animals.
It looked like us using our imaginations more than ever before.
It looked like exploring new places. And having new experiences.
June looked like a lot of fun. And it was.
