Birthday Boy
Lots of birthday fun for this little guy. He couldn't even eat dinner because he was too excited. He loved his Monsters Inc. cupcake with a picture of Sully on it. He loved his 4 dinosaur candles too. He had brownie ice cream and birthday party ice cream to go with his chocolate cupcake. He opened presents and received a dinosaur set with a triceratops and T-Rex, some super hero sets, some books, an airplane from the movie, Planes, Slinky from Toy Story, a Veggie Tale movie about Noah, and two signs for his room. Needless to say, he is one very happy boy. As he was opening presents, he kept saying, "Wow!" Turning four is lots of fun. He kept asking if he was still four...or if he would still be four when he wakes up. So cute. He loves being four.
A Month of Love: Day 21
This guy is O.K. with playing second fiddle. He has to do that a lot with my job. Being a teacher, I'm always having to do some program or other. He'll be there, playing the role of supporter. And I love that. So glad even when he's just waiting though my programs, he lends his support in the background in whatever way I need....musician, tech. guy, stage hand, child wrangler. Thanks. For being that guy!
A Month of Love: Day 20
I'm thankful for his goofiness. (Almost can't believe I just said that.) But it definitely keeps smiles on everyone's face around here. Like when I was trying to take this picture. You should see the outtakes. Pure goofiness. Always trying to keep everyone laughing. Probably a class clown, back in the day. But he enjoys making heavy situations light with a little humor and keeping us rolling around here with pure silliness, including a plethora of strange and interesting voices.
A Month of Love: Day 19
So thankful that he's always trying to protect me. When I'm upset about something, he'll share advice. He always is looking out for me and trying to keep me safe. I really appreciate that, more than you know.
A Month of Love: Day 18
Sentimental
O.K. I admit it. I'm sentimental. There, I said it. Tucking this guy in for the last time as a three year old last night, I kept thinking about how when I saw him in the morning he would be 4. I know it's only one day...not even that, but going from three to four seems like a big step to me. Now that he's 4, he'll be moving out of cradle roll Sabbath school and I won't be able to be in class with him anymore. I'll be finding one of my own again after nearly 6 years of training my babies in their class. And now that he's 4, he'll be starting school, when school starts in the fall. And he'll be joining Sis and I at school everyday. I hate that he's getting so big. And yet I love it at the same time. Here are a couple of shots from last night. How I will miss this little 3 year old sweetie.
