Thank you, THANK you, for today. Days like today are my favorite kind of day. It was the kind of day when the T.V. and the computer were mostly off. And the kids and their daddy were engaged in lots of playing (mostly wrestling and sword fighting). And there were lots of giggles, what a wonderful soundtrack. And there was not much complaining (until the end when Little Mr. didn't want to eat his dinner and STILL thought he deserved a scoop or two of ice cream).
It was the kind of day when you were present with all that is going on. And the answer to, "Come play with me," was answered with immediate engagement in some sort of battle or fun. Those kind of days are the very best. The ones where we are all together. And the distractions are few. And the kids have fun. Those are the days I want them to remember. So thanks. For being there today.
