The Dr. Visit

I had another Dr.'s appointment today and it was not fun! I had to get blood work done. First, I'm horrible with needles. Then, they decided that I need to give 8 tubes of blood! I told the lady I wasn't good with needles. I tried to rest my head on the desk so I could be more relaxed. She told me I had to sit straight up. I sat back up. Then she got started. About 2 tubes through, I told her that I felt like I was going to pass out. I was beginning to see blackness coming into my vision. My whole body was starting to feel weird and weak all the way down to my feet. She tried to chat with me about other stuff, but that was short-lived. After two more tubes or so the feeling returned and kept getting stronger. Finally she released the rubber band on my arm. I couldn't move. I told her I felt like I was going to faint. She looked really scared and started fanning me with a book. I laid my head down. She told me that they have a bed I could lay on. She asked if I thought I could make it. I told her I wasn't sure but I thought I could if she helped me. She didn't even give me a hand. Instead she walked beside me and kept asking if I was OK. I made it to the bed and laid down. She went to help someone else and said she'd come back and check on me. I laid there for a minute still fighting the fainting feeling off. Suddenly I started having a hot flash or something because I had been really cold and had a sweater on. I took off my sweater. I broke out immediately in a cold sweat. My back was so sweaty that when I got off the bed there was a wet spot. My face and neck also started sweating. Finally after about 10 minutes I was feeling much better but still a little weak. The lady checked in on me and let me go. That was really crazy. I hate that feeling. I think I just got so weak from "donating" so much blood at one time. I knew there was a reason I never sign up with the blood mobile!

Busy

It's been crazy and busy around here. I just finished teaching a scrapbook class this past Sunday. It was a hit. I had 16 total sign up. Then a lady who owns the scrapbook store in Tampa came to the class and asked me to teach it in her store. I also have two more classes in Bradenton before Christmas.
I actually don't have a lot to do tonight, so I think I may take the opportunity to actually do a little something in my scrapbook just because.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a nice weekend with Karon and James and the Boys. We were able to finally visit Crosswalks church and we even made it for our friends 50th party...they recently moved to Avon Park too. We went to the park Sunday for about 5 or 10 minutes before it started to lightning. Then we went home for pizza and watched the movie Pan and Music and Lyrics. We left their house to come back home today.
