Our little guy is growing and changing in so many ways.
Recently, he's taken to speaking simple sentences like:
"unt down" (want down), "all done", "unt help" (I want to help), or "unt eat".
He cleans up toys and is quite the helper.
He loves to help with making food (stirring, putting things on the pan, etc.)
His favorite songs are
Only a Boy Named David He even falls down when the giant comes tumbling down and
I'm too Young to March in the Infantry"He gets all into it with the marching, but gets upset when the marching part is over and starts fussing. When we sing the songs with our instruments, he will always pic a teeny tiny orange maraca we have and he shakes it with gusto...or stuffs it in his mouth, which causes him to sometimes loose the maraca for not taking it out of his mouth.
His favorite place is outside...he stands at the door and says "Unt out!" (I want out!) Once outside, he plays in the playhouse. He really loves opening and shutting the door or climbing on the table (as you can see in these pictures). And he also loves trying to take over Sissy's dolly stroller if he gets 1/2 a chance. He buzzes around the yard with his play lawn mower and laughs and giggles when Daddy challenges him to a game of ball.
When I leave him in the morning I get different boys different mornings. Some mornings are easy. He will go up to the door of his school, knock and say, "Knock-knock." Once inside he races over to the table that is his size and starts to play or do whatever. When I leave he sometimes doesn't notice or sometimes he'll race back for a hug. Other mornings, he'll cling to my leg and cry. Then plaster his face on the glass of the door and say, "Mom!" I'll wave to him from my car and head out. I don't like mornings like those.
In our house, he loves to play with his cars and trucks. He also likes his plane which he calls a "Heene". Playing chase and hide and seek remain two of his favorite things to play. He gets so excited and is full of laughs.
He's a little boy who still loves to cuddle in the mornings and squirms when we rock him goodnight. He goes to bed easily and sighs or smiles or even giggles when we lay him down at night. I always tuck him in and give him a little kiss on his nose that is sprinkled with freckles. What a joy it is to be a momma to this little boy.
