My little girl is heading off to 2nd grade and Little Mr. is joining us at school this year as a kindergartner. They are both getting so big, much too fast. And I just can't stand it!

Another Falls
She lost another tooth last night and has another wiggly one up on top. And the tooth fairy ALMOST forgot to visit after she reminded me to "make sure the tooth fairy comes" about three times and Little Mr. kept telling her Mamma's the tooth fairy

Playing at the Nature Park
Loved our time at a nearby nature park today. Being in nature just refreshes and relaxes me. We did some walking, playing, splashing, and climbing. Until the rain hit.
Love this picture of a bee gathering pollen. Can you see how full his pollen sack is on his back leg. We were marveling at the chance to see this up close and in person.
Lots of wildflowers everywhere. I just love flowers.
Cool trees to climb near the water's edge.
Sea Grass
Climbing.
Building
More climbing.
Finding an animal skeleton.
More climbing.
Hiking and "fishing."
Relaxing.
Wading.

5 Little Things about Him
This little guy has sure been growing. It is so fun and so sad to look back and see how big he is getting. Every year we take pictures with the number of balloons that shows his age. There's some of the pictures through the year including his latest ones for this year...year five. And here's five little things that I love about my special guy.
1. When you watch a movie, which you love to do, you immediately want to play the movie when it is over. You bring down toys, costumes, and whatever you think will be fitting to the part. If you don't have a toy or costume, you make one up. Lately you've been playing moives like Star Wars, Bible movies, and Little House on the Prairie. You've also been known to play Monsters Inc., Mask, and G.I. Joe.
2. You are super silly. You love doing things to make others laugh. Sometimes it is silly voices or silly dances. You love telling jokes too. But if you think we are laughing AT you...you will sometimes get upset and slump your shoulders over so far that you are also bending at the waist and your head will be tucked all the way to your chin and you might even announce, "YOU HURT MY FEELINGS!"
3. You have suddenly become quite interested in drawing. Mostly, you draw dinosaurs. And what I like most about your pictures is that the entire head is mostly a mouth with teeth and a couple of eyes on top.
4. You are excited about starting school. You have asked me several times this year about when it will be your turn to go. We'll, Little man. your chance its coming up soon.
5. You love playing. Seriously, more than anyone else I've ever known. And at the end of a long day of playing for hours and hours, when I tell you to clean up, you say, "But I didn't even get to play!" Really? Wow! Anyway, your toys of choice right now include G.I. Joes, Star Wars, Legos, and Dinosaurs. You also loving wrestling with Daddy.
And that, my little guy, is my list of 5 special things about you. Of course, I could go on and on. But I mostly just want to say, I love you very much, Mr. Handsome.

7 Little Things about Her
Every year, I take a picture of my babies that shows how old they are (with balloons). It is a fun little way to doument their growth. And boy have they grown! I can hardly believe it! Second grade is right around the corner for this little sweetie. Where has the time gone?

1. She is so fun and spunky.
2. She has no fear. She loves thrill rides and is already wanting to ride some of the roller coasters at the theme park...thankfully she's still too short. No fear means danger in the swimming pool too because while she thinks she's this great swimmer, she's actually not, and still needs a watchful eye whenever she goes very far.
3. She is as smart as a whip but HATES to practice. She wants it to come easily and if practice is involved, she's not interested. Lexia Core 5 anyone?
4. She loves to have me play with her and will often ask, "Will you play with me?" This usually involves anything from hair salon, to vet office, to store, crafts, coloring, house, or Little House on the Prairie.
5. She says she wants to play the violin, which she calls the Vilee-in....and I just can't bring myself to correct her, it's just so cute. And I cannot bring myself to pay for lessons yet because....well...have you read number three? Oh, and she also wants to play the piano...but mostly the Vilee-in. :)
6. She is quite the little helper. She can clean her own room. Make her bed, do the dishes, sweep, and even cook. And she loves to hear us ooh and ahh after she completes a task.
7. She loves music and singing and has no fright when it comes to getting on stage. She belts it out. She has already tackled 3 performances for church, two of them solos. Definitely got Daddy's stage presence.
This girl is so special and I love her.
