We were in a crash with a moped!

Yesterday we got hit by a moped driver. We were leaving church after our praise team practiced and we were headed to Denny's for supper. We were on Denny's street and this guy just blew through the stop sign and plowed into our car. We couldn't see him...and didn't have a stop. But blocking our view from the intersection was a truck that was parked on the side of the road. when we got to the middle of the intersection I saw this guy barreling toward us...I thought he was going to hit on my door...the passenger one, but I screamed that he wasn't stopping and Rhett swirved, but the guy hit us in the bumper and landed on the road. Luckily, besides a gash on his head, that was basically all that was hurt. And fortunately for us, this couple saw the whole thing and stayed to be witnesses for us. The guy had no insurance, no driver's license or registration. The bike was not his and the story just went on and on. The officer was getting so annoyed because the guy had nothing and no information. Needless to say, if we want to fix our car, we'll have to either...sue the dude....but he doesn't look like he could afford to pay anything or use our own insurance but we have a $500 deductable...UN-BE-LIEVABLE that a guy can plow you down and never have to pay a cent toward fixing your car, but you're the one out money! Luckily, there were just some large scratches and most of them were able to wipe off. When we were waiting for the police, this dude tried to leave twice. We even told him it would be a hit and run if he left. He didn't care, he just wanted to get out of there, but luckily for us, his moped wouldn't start.
