Yesterday Rhett went back to work...I missed his help with the baby. When he came home we took Jade on a walk around the block in her stroller. She seemed to enjoy being outdoors. We came back home and Daddy read her her first story. And I can 't believe it, but she slept about eight hours last night! What a treat for us. We got some much needed rest. It was great. But I think the only reason she slept so long was because she didn't nap well yesterday. We decided that we needed to let her learn to sleep on her own without being rocked or held all the time and so she was adjusting to that and had some tears. We also went to the doctor yesterday to check out a bump on Jade's arm. She has a little ball of something under her skin above her left elbow. The ball is very distinct and hard. So we thought we'd better check it out. The doctor used his big words on us, so I can't remember exactly what it was, but basically he broke it down and said that it is a gathering of vessels and that it should go away by the time she is two. He said it's nothing to worry about and that lots of kids get it. He said we'd just keep an eye on it to make sure that it does go away...So that was pretty much our day yesterday.
