Here are some pictures from our very busy week...and one old one. The other weekend we went to the mall in Tampa. We took Jade to the play place in the middle of the mall. She enjoyed climbing and playing on the baseball-themed playground. Right next to the play place was a Build-a-Bear Workshop. We took her in there and while we were there a person dressed up in a bunny costume came out. She went right up to them. If I remember correctly, she even threw her arms around them. It was cute. Guess we won't have to worry about her being scared of the characters at Disney.
This week there was a grand opening of the IKEA store in Tampa...I haven't been yet, although it is on my list of things to do on Sunday for Mother's day. Anyway, Jade's babysitter took her there the first day. And it was packed. They waited in line for an hour or more before the place was even opened. They got some free stuff. And Jade got this little balloon dog. She also got a fan and a strange looking heart pillow with arms and hands attached. Can't wait to check it out myself.
Jade is really in to imitating what we are doing lately. She will take my brush after I use it and put it up to her hair...of course she turns it over so the back is on her hair and the bristles are pointing out. The other day I showed her how to stir in a bowl and so she helped me do that and she also did it in an empty bowl (see the picture). She also saw me use my mixer and after I removed the beaters, she started stirring with it. It was so cute. She is doing so many new things and getting better at all the things she already knew how to do. Walking is becoming running now and that is fun for her and also has caused some bumps and scrapes...you might see her latest scrape on her head in one of the pics. Four more days till that precious little girl of ours turns one.
