Sunday you were such a little girl. Your hands, still unsteady, your run full of trips and falls. Your clothes such tiny things folded next to ours. Your baby chatter still full of mystery. Your little giggle still so baby-like.
Then Monday everything changed. Our view of you changed. You are no longer the baby we pretended you were. A new baby was born and now you are so big. Your hands are steady, your steps so sure. Your clothes have grown by sizes and your words are so clear. Your giggle isn't at all that of a baby, because you are no longer our baby. You've just jumped into the role of our little girl.
