We had one of the best weekends we've had in a long time. We took a family excursion to visit a farm and topped it all off with a trip to the Rainforest Cafe. At the farm, Baby girl bounced with excitement in her car seat when she found out where we were (it was a surprise trip for her). The farm we went to is such an interactive and fun farm for kids. The kids got to touch nearly all the animals. I milked a cow (no one else wanted to). Then we saw a water buffalo, zdonk (not sure how to spell it but a cross between a zebra and a donkey), and many other animals. We got to pet pigs, goats, sheep and pick up baby chicks and ducks and full grown ones too. Baby girl got to ride a pony and we all went on a hayride and a train ride. Baby girl said her favorite parts were watching the pigs drink water and seeing the turkeys. And, she informed us that she used to be a turkey. (Really?) Baby boy loved watching the ducks and chickens run...he just giggled and giggled. He also loved the sheep. Outside of the pen while we were waiting to go in, he was squawking loudly and trying to climb the fence to get inside.
The Rainforest Cafe was another fun adventure. We sat near the gorillas. They moved around and pounded their chests and made noise. Baby Boy just looked around and pointed at everything. He even seemed O.K. when the thunderstorm came. Baby girl was not too sure. She's still talking about those "monkeys" and wondering if they were real.
