Celebrating Three Years

Yesterday our little girl turned three. It was a great reminder of that special day three years ago when she first arrived. In the morning, I made her some pancakes...ice cream sundae-shaped. When I dropped her off at school, I left her some strawberry mini cupcakes to share with her friends.
After school, we celebrated with a small party here at home. Jade requested pizza, peas, peaches, and pears...so that's what we had. We topped it off with Strawberry Tinkerbell cupcakes and ice cream. Jade had cookie dough ice cream. After dessert, we opened presents. Jade got some Elmo and friends stickers. Next, she opened two books, Five Little Ducks (one of her favorite silly songs) and Someday. I love that she took time out of opening any other presents so she could look at her books for a while. Then she opened a Bible video. It included many stories, but three of her favorites were David and Goliath, Samson, and Little Samuel. The last two presents were a shopping cart and cash register. She really enjoyed spending the afternoon playing store. Then afterward, she wanted to watch her video. She is looking forward to tomorrow when she gets to have her Tinkerbell party with friends and family. It will be so nice to see everyone again.
