Sunday Play Time

Got lots of playing done today. We started off early. I took the babies outside where we ran wild for quite a while. After we came inside, we played a game that baby boy absolutely LOVED...I'm calling it stairway basketball. I drug our little swimming pool in and set it up at the bottom of the stairs. They the babies sat on the first landing and tried to roll different types of (mostly) soft balls down the stairs and into the pool. "Gain" (again) was heard more than a dozen times as I gathered all the balls and brought them all upstairs again. Baby boy enjoyed watching the balls bounce and was laughing and clapping up a storm.


After Sis lost interest and later Momma got tired, I set up a little vet clinic in the living room. I scrounged up all the cats and dogs I could find from all the stuffed animals around the house. I brought in the cat carriers, and even some never-been-used for litter ....litter boxes ( I purchased one at the dollar store one summer to make kitty litter cake...don't ask).


After nap time, we went on a stroller walk. The kiddos were a little stir crazy since it had been raining today. So we went around our neighborhood and another one nearby. On the way home, we trimmed several of the cocoons we found yesterday. We're hoping to watch them hatch. These are the coolest cocoons ever...they are made of mud and leaves, and sticks. We looked them up and it seems to belong to a moth. So we shall see.
