Epcot

Baby girl had some more people to meet on our latest trip to Disney. This time around we went to Epcot. That is where you go to see Elsa and Anna from Disney's new frozen movie. We decided to get an early start so that we could be there when the gates opened to head over to Norway and get a good spot in line. When we arrived, we had over a half hour to spare. Once the gates opened, we raced as fast as our double stroller loaded down with two growing kids could go. And we got in line. We were quite pleased with ourselves at how soon we were able to line up because we had heard horror stories about the long wait for this new attraction. Just when we were high-fiving each other about our luck (not really) an attendant came up to the people in front of us to inform them that their wait time was 2 1/2 hours! We were stunned. Apparently, they open the gates even earlier for those enjoying a princess breakfast and those people are able to line up before the gates even open to the general public. That line was in a second location...we were in the last line and would later get to join the first line. :(
So much for the short line, but Rhett was a fairly good sport despite loathing wasting time that could be spent riding the rides. He hated standing there for that long, but hung in there. I kept reminding him it was for his daughter. We actually were lucky because about 10 or so minutes later, the attendant was telling people who were coming toward the growing line, that the wait time was now 4 1/2 hours! Thankfully, the rest of the rides at the park and the rest of the character meet and greets all had wait times of no more than 10 minutes....all day. Our fast passes were not even really necessary since there was virtually no wait time anywhere! It was perfect (except for the first big wait. Here are some pictures from our magical day!
Meeting Disney's latest princesses, Elsa and Anna. So exciting!
Mary Poppins! Another favorite around here. She is such fun.
Trying on sombrero's in Mexico.
Having fun in the British telephone booth.
These two were really silly, and a lot of fun.
Belle...a meet and greet to finish of our princess autograph book.
Going down under with Nemo and trying to avoid the sharks!
Chip and Dale are two very silly chipmunks. They swiped Little Mr.'s Slurpee when he wouldn't join us for a picture.
Posing with Chip and Dale
Meeting the big cheese. Little Mr. finally decided he could meet a few of the characters after denying pictures all morning.
Not sure which one is goofiest.
What fun it was to meet Minnie Mouse.
Donald in Mexico.
Getting ready to leave the park. It was a beautiful day to be there with all the floating flowers and other flowers everywhere we looked. It was the flower festival time. We kept talking about how much Rhett's mom would love visiting the park during this time of year...maybe someday.
One last image of the ball. Rhett's favorite ride is in there...spaceship Earth.
