May looked like a busy month of activities. It looks like the last month of school.
May looked like award ceremony. It looks like little girl getting an award for being an amazing writer in her kindergarten class. It looks like her run/walking up to get her award and proudly wearing it back to her seat.
May looked like one last trip to Disney. It looked like riding some rides we had not ridden with the babies before. It looked like Barnstormer, which little Mr. didn't like and thought was too fast. It looked like us riding the rocket ships that were up so high we could see the entire park. It looked like Little Mr. requesting to ride the "Buzz Light" ride and baby girl wanting to go to the 4D movie. It looked like a new pirate knife and fancy Snow White gloves and purse.
May looked like Momma deciding that my little people were ready for more responsibility as far as cleaning around the house went. It looked like Little Mr. learning how to fold wash cloths and dish cloths, hand towels and Dish towels. It looked like him doing a very good job.
It looked like Momma trying to figure out how her baby girl was old enough to graduate from Kindergarten. It looked like us watching her glow and she strode down to the front of the gym. It looked like her shaking her bells with confidence as she performed in the bell choir. It looked like Little Mr. making faces with one of his classmates for next year while the graduation went on.
It looked like Baby Girl meeting and getting to pet a little kitten that looks just like our own Mr. Tobes. It looked like all the students meeting in front of the school to count down the end of another school year. It looked like one very tired teacher cleaning up her classroom.
May looked like a trip to the chilren's museum with friends. It looked like showing 2 friends around the place. It looked like giant water tables, restaurants, Publix, a fire station, climbing activities, art things, and a vet's office. It looked like fun that was had by all.
May looked like our little girl turning six. It looked like a day of surprises. A giant blueberry muffin at breakfast....her favorite, lit with one candle. It looked like a momma planning out one the best cakes ever...a candy cake covered in sprinkles and decked out with lollipops, one for a special little girl and each of her friends. It looked like rainbow layers inside of the tall cake. It looked like mass hysteria as a momma brought the cake and a foil balloon in to the classroom of the birthday girl. It looked like 18 kids shouting about which lollipop them wanted and trying to grab at them without permission. It looked like a quiet birthday party later at home with just our family. It looked like eating pizza al fresco. And having a princess store bought cake...her first ever. It looked like presents and smiles all around.
May looked like a store, set up in her bedroom, by Little Miss. Complete with price tags and a cash register. It looked like Momma purchasing different items and paying and receiving more change than what I had paid in the first place. It looked like Little Mr. joining in on the fun and ringing up some cart loads of items as well. It looked like Momma discovering Little Mr. in the kitchen with my Bible on the floor. And standing around my open Bible were his superhero guys. And Little Mr. proudly announcing that "Superheroes need the Bible!" It looked like bike riding and two babies getting their training wheels removed.
It looked like Little Miss ready and excited to meet the challenge and doing very well, although falling a lot. And Little Mr. very unsure and choosing to stay off his bike as much as Daddy would let him so he didn't have to learn to ride.
It looked like nature hunts (much to Daddy's dismay). And Little Lady sewing her first project, a whale, for brother. It looked like the first pool trip of the season and swimming with more confidence. It looked like babies being signed up for swimming classes later in the summer and a little girl being signed up for gymnastics too. It looked like holding hands filled with flowers from my babies. It looked like two babies obsessing over wearing my high heels around the house. It looked like the end to a very busy year. And the start of a very wonderful summer!
