And Just like that, summer is gone. I blinked...and sixty-one glorious days were gone. Staying up late. Sleeping in. Swimming in the pool. Visiting Grandma's and Grandpa's house. Swinging on their tire swing. Walking in the forest. Going to the splash park. Meeting up with friends at new places. Building blanket forts. Going bowling. Playing all day. Doing gymnastics classes. Playing in the driveway in the cool of the morning. Meeting Daddy for doughnuts. Going to VBS. Staying up for ice cream socials. Planning our dream days....and living them out. Learning to sew. Going to the library. Reading a thousand books. Going to the playground. We're telling summer good bye. And I am not quite ready.
