These little babies have been fairly good about helping out around here when asked, but we decided it was time to start helping them learn to handle money the Dave Ramsey way....So we assigned a daily chore that was tied to pay (or commission, as Dave would call it). They rotate jobs so they can learn all sorts of things from sweeping to emptying the garbage, and dishes...most are with supervision until they learn the correct way to do the chores. They have other chores as well...that's just a part of being a family. Today was their first pay day, so they brought down their Larry Burkett banks. They put some in each of the three slots...saving, giving (church), and spending. I think they were a wee bit excited. Little Mr. was ready to go to the store and spend it on a new vehicle for his G.I. Joes. I had to burst his bubble and tell him he would have to save up. Good life lesson.
