A Week in the Life October 26, 2014

Every year I embark on an intense memory keeping project (with Ali Edwards) that includes tracking what our daily life at this exact moment in time is really like. It includes carrying my big camera around everywhere I go. It involves writing lots of notes about things done, times, and things said. It is a lot of fun, but tiring. It is, however, so rewarding. It's fun to look back at previous albums and see how our family life has changed and what is the same. Here are some pictures from what our Sunday looked like. (Our beginning day for A Week in the Life, 2014.)

The story of today began early with her requesting to go on Lexia Core 5...a reading program that she is suppose to use each day. She's tackling level 5 right now and is hoping to make it to level six soon.

The story of today includes this guy continuing to play with his Lego set that was left out from Sabbath. It's a safari set, so there's lots of animals, a swinging bridge, and safari animals. He is obsessed right not with little guys and vehicles that they can ride in.

Loading the safari truck.

The story of today includes determination to get back in the swing of exercising. Hello Bikini Body Mommy, my go to girl for all the latest HITT workouts. Hello eight pound weights.

The story of today was of this little girl helping to prepare the meals. She made some sandwiches for cheese, veggie meat (wham), lettuce, and tomato sandwiches for lunch. I love that she is able to make many different things by herself. Definitely a big help and I DO NOT take it for granted.

The story of today included a couponing trip to Publix. It included finding apples on sale for only 99 cents, usually more than $1.49 or so a pound. This will definitely get dated fast, but will be fun to look back at the price sign when we are paying $3 or $4 a pound someday.

This little guy was determined to bring home some green apples, not just the red ones Daddy was picking out.

And he got his wish. A bag of green ones to go along with the bag of red ones. Baby girl wanted a bowl of the caramel dipping sauce. I told her to wait until our Wal*mart trip (right after this one) because it was cheaper. But then, sadly, I forgot all about it.

The story of today was running into a familiar face, Miss Shreka. My babies each spent three years with this lady. She took such great care of our babies at her daycare. The babies were thrilled to see her, but honestly, they didn't say one word.

These two were super excited to be heading to the pumpkin patch. I wish they could see a real one. But we just don't have those down here that I'm aware of. So pumpkins stacked on pallets will have to do.

Love the colors of fall. Wish we had more of the colors of fall in the trees this time of year.

Posing with a pumpkin.

My cutie pie.

The pumpkin patch always has this cute little wagon all decorated up.

Acting crazy at the pumpkin patch.

I love that those little feet hang down from the cart. I love that he is still small enough to right in the front and I can sneak a kiss or cuddle as I shop.

That was our day.
