We love the American Girl books around here. What's not to love? These well-written books chronicle different time periods in American history by introducing a girl who is the main character of the piece of historical fiction. Each series of books, featuring a girl, has a coorsponding doll. We get the montly catalogue, but this was the first time we got to visit the store since there is not one in our town.
We had gotten notice a couple of weeks ago about the new 1950's doll, Mary-Ellen. She is the newest addition. We watched the video about the inspiration behind her, and were super excited to see her in person.
The Native American girl, Kaya and all her outfits and some accessories you can get with her. I loved the Teepee. It. Was. Cute.
Love this hat, from the girl, Kit. She's the one representing the 1930's. She wears a hat like this and they have ones so a little girl could match her. Seriously, love it!
Grace Thomas is a girl who visited Paris and was inspired to turn her passion of baking into a business. She also happens to be the Girl of the Year.
Grace's travel case is so cute, I wouldn't mind having one myself. :)
Grace's bakery is a little girl's dream. It is amazing! $500 amazing! Won't be taking it home anytime soon, but we sure had fun playing with it at the store.
Tiny cupcakes and cheesecakes from Grace's bakery.
This is Grace. When I asked my little girl which girl she would most like, this was the one she said. We'll see what happens at Christmas time.
