A Sick Little Girl...
Our little girl came down sick suddenly today. Daddy laid her down for a nap around noon. I arrived home shortly before 3:30 and she was still napping. We woke her up to run a few errands and she looked really pale. She wasn't her jovial self and was just really lethargic and tired seeming. By the time we got home, she was really warm and she didn't want to eat her pizza...which she normally loves. Her temperature was 101 or so. I gave her some tylenol and seriously within like 30 minutes she was bouncing around almost 100% herself. (Of course I know she's not better, it is just the meds.) Now she is all worked up wondering if she will get to go to Sabbath School tomorrow. She DOES NOT want to miss it. We shall see if she's any better in the morning. If not, Daddy will have to stay home with her while I go on to church with Juice Man. I have to go up front tomorrow for Education Sabbath. All the teachers are being dedicated. I'm praying Baby girl will feel better.

A Nice Weekend
We spent a wonderful weekend together. We visited a new church...the people were some of the most welcoming and friendly people we've ever experienced at church. They have a praise band and want Rhett to play in it. Unfortunately during our visit, we found out they are no longer part of the constituency of the school. So...we won't be able to join that church. But we'll definitely want to visit again, I am sure. We also took the kids to the park in the afternoon. It was a scorcher out there so we didn't stay too long.
On Sunday, Baby Girl and I had a little date. We went to Wal*Mart where she looked at the plants, fish, and toys. Then we were going to get a smoothie at MacDonald's, but the one in Wal*Mart didn't have them, so we went to another restaurant. Then we came home and Larry and Erin came over for a surprise visit. Rhett and Larry went out and brought home some pizza's for dinner. It was a great weekend.

Words from Today
Baby Girl is at that sweet age...a little over two, where all her words become precious memories that I want to hold on to. Today as I woke her up she asked, "Where's cuppy sip?" (Her sippy cup) It's the first time she's said that, but all day today she has been calling it that. I LOVE it.
Then later today Juice Man was crying, our little girl ran over and grabbed an armload of her dollies from their cradle ( I think there were three) and she came over and asked? "Juice want sissy?" Such a tender little heart where her brother is concerned. She just loves and adores him so incredibly much...and for that I am thankful.
This evening, she had her sissies lined up on the landing at the top of the flight of stairs in our house. She was playing Sabbath school with her them. When she was done we could hear her singing over and over, "Goodbye, goodbye, be (jumbled words here) and true." She was walking around in front of each of her dollies (about 6 or 7 of them) waving and singing this song that she hears each week at her Sabbath School. She also wanted to use brother's little bath tub to "bathe" her sissy. She said, "Sissy bath, Juice tub"...so I got it out for her. I gave her a wash cloth too and she pretended to bathe Sissy. Next thing we knew, she was bringing down her Bible that we read to her each night. She wanted Daddy to help her find the story of David and Goliath so she could have night-night worship with her Sissy. (She was following her bedtime routine with bath and a Bible story. (Her favorite Bible story lately has been David and Goliath. We've had to read it every night just about for the last two weeks or so. We even have a Goliath action figure that she uses to act out the story as Daddy reads. She used to want to hear the story of Samuel every day. And we'd have to light the candle after talking about how Samuel helped to polish the lamp stands.) It's just wonderful writing God's word in her heart. I pray that she will continue on this path...

Crazy Day

Sabbath
The babies had fun at their new Sabbath School class today. This afternoon they played in their "Mission Boat" while we sang about sailing in a mission boat to take Bibles to the children in other countries. After supper, Baby Girl painted two masterpieces. Later we played Sabbath School with all of her little dollies.

A Good Day
After our first date in about 2 years, Rhett and I went to the school to pick up our babies. They had a good day. Jade has started to potty train. Jude did not run out of milk. Jade had an accident, but was thrilled to see us. She talked incessantly and took me to the back room of her daycare to show me all the stuff. She showed me some things in the front room also. Then she wanted me to walk home with her. Daddy drove Jude Dude home in the van while we walked. She wanted to hold my hand they whole way. And I didn't even mind the heat. And she talked about how she missed us. "I miss," she said. So I said, "Oh, you missed Mommy?" And she replied, "And Daddy." But she said she had a good day and she was so excited about it all that she was just running around our living room throwing herself on the couch and bouncing back up and running around again. Yes, it was a good day.
So Much to do...So Little Time
My new classroom is in shambles and school starts in a week and a half. I can't go in today to clean because they will be finishing the painting, and we have meetings Tuesday and Wednesday. We did have a work bee yesterday and I had several helpers in my room. We cleaned off most of the surfaces (desks, tables, computers, and books..), but we did not finish all the desks and have hardly started the chairs. We vacuumed what we could of the floor which was covered in rat you know what. The one thing I hope people learn from all this is that when you spray paint you need to cover things up. My keyboards, computer screens, desks, books, and everything have a layer of paint that had to be scrubbed off. Not sure if the computer will ever be the same again...or some of the furniture. Just so much unnecessary work.
The First Day
Today is the first day of school for our sweet little babies...and they are just that, so little, too little to be sent off to school, but money won't allow me to stay home with them forever, and so we found the best place we could for them, a place where Baby Girl went last year, and she loves it.
Today Jade woke up around 7.
One of the first things she talked about was going to see Sissy...one of the kids at school.
She went over the details again, "Mommy pick you up, no....DADDY pick you up. Mommy drop you." (Mommy will drop her off in the mornings and Daddy will pick her up.)
She has a special breakfast of Apple Griddle Pancakes in the shape of Mickey Mouse, Stripples, and peaches with some orchard peach juice.
She kept talking about Sissy and Kalaini and Mrs. Shreaka.
She played nicely with Juice Man.
She wore her rainbow shirt with some jean shorts.
She wore her hair in ponytails.
Juice Dude wore a brown and blue striped onsie.
He had a breakfast of rice cereal and milk.
We read the Bible story about the shepherds finding Jesus.
We had prayer together asking Jesus to keep us all safe and help Jade to be a good girl.
We walked to their school.
We took pictures outside by the school sign.
We found out that Sissy and Kalaini (the ones Jade has been excited to see) are not going to be there today...they are on summer break.
We took pictures inside before I left.
We gave hugs and kisses and I told them I love them.
I left feeling sad and empty.
Jade did not cry and neither did Jude....or Mommy.
I am so very thankful for my time off with them and the extra time off being a teacher provides...I am so very lucky.
But...
Our house feels empty now.
It's just so quiet.
I can't wait for them to come home.
