My new classroom is in shambles and school starts in a week and a half. I can't go in today to clean because they will be finishing the painting, and we have meetings Tuesday and Wednesday. We did have a work bee yesterday and I had several helpers in my room. We cleaned off most of the surfaces (desks, tables, computers, and books..), but we did not finish all the desks and have hardly started the chairs. We vacuumed what we could of the floor which was covered in rat you know what. The one thing I hope people learn from all this is that when you spray paint you need to cover things up. My keyboards, computer screens, desks, books, and everything have a layer of paint that had to be scrubbed off. Not sure if the computer will ever be the same again...or some of the furniture. Just so much unnecessary work.
